The City of Granada is less than a 30 minutes drive from our wheelchair accessible villas and the City´s Albayzín area, with it's Islamic style architecture, is an area of beauty, where trailing plants adorn a myriad balconies and scent of flowers spills over the many garden walls.

The Albayzín area of the City can be reached by taking one of the small minibuses, behind the Cathedral in the city centre. The minibuses, whcih run every ten minutes or so, will take you up to the Mirador de San Nicolas. The plaza is a busy spot for tourists and provides an ideal vantage point from which to photograph the Alhambra Palace against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada.

Having spent time at the Mirador de San Nicolas visitors to the Albayzín area may wish to take the opportunity to walk down the narrow but busy road, past the Palacio Dar-al Harro, down to Plaza San Miguel Bajo.

Plaza San Miguel Bajo offers visitors the chance to dine al fresco under parasols, observing the world around them, as they sample some of the local cuisine served at the numerous bars and restaurants in the Plaza. Then when ready, all that's left to do is catch the minibus back down to Cathedral in the City.
